Asterism Ferrero 27

The asterism "Ferrero 27" can be found in the constellation Draco. As it is only a random arrangement of stars, no general distance or size can be specified for this object. However, the distances to the individual stars are noted in the drawing.

The asterism goes by the name "Ring of the Nibelungs", even though it looks more like a typical flying saucer to me, with only the antennae missing ;)

Ferrero 27 offers a really beautiful view in my 20" f/3 telescope. Even at 120x, the five brightest stars can be recognized, the sixth star then pops out of the dark sky background at 210x with indirect vision.

Three very faint galaxies can be seen in the immediate vicinity, the brightest of which (bottom left - unnamed) was visible at 380x as a very faint diffuse patch of light. Northeast of the asterism, two more extremely faint galaxies appear from the background, but even at this high magnification they only flashed a few times because the sky was not optimal at the time of observation.
