Abell 2061 - Galaxy Cluster

Abell 2061 is a rather unknown galaxy cluster in the western part of the constellation Corona Borealis and is located about 30 arcminutes away from another galaxy cluster (Abell 2067). The distance to AGC 2061 is 1.04 billion light-years. So it belongs to the huge Corona Borealis supercluster. The escape velocity is 22,500 kilometers per second.

In my 20" f/3.2 Dobson there were 12 galaxies visible, which is quite a lot for a cluster at this distance. Of course you need a little patience. There is a brighter star in the field of view, which makes the search for the faint galaxies a bit easier. Otherwise the surrounding field stars are relatively faint.
