Abell 2675 - Galaxy Cluster

The galaxy cluster Abell 2675 is located at a distance of 970 million light years in the constellation Pegasus. It is moving away from us at a speed of about 21,000 kilometers per second. The brightest galaxy has the designation "LEDA 87325" and has an apparent brightness of 15.6mag. All other galaxies are fainter than 16.5mag.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The observation with my 20" telescope shows 15 galaxies in a field of 15x15 arc minutes. They are not very bright, but can be seen with averted vision. The galaxy cluster is quite loosely scattered, only around LEDA 87325 there are four fainter galaxies.

Unfortunately there are only a few bright stars, so the identification of the individual galaxies is a bit difficult and time consuming.
