The star cluster "Saurer 6" is located at a distance of 30,000 light years in the constellation Cygnus and therefore belongs to the open star clusters
with the largest known distance. The age was determined to 1.4 to 1.6 billion years and the total mass to ~5,300 solar masses. The apparent diameter
in the sky is 1.0' (arcminutes), from which the true size is calculated to be 8.7 light-years. However, the stars are still gravitationally bound to the
cluster up to a distance of about 30 light-years.

In my 20 inch telescope a faint glow is visible, which is not particularly difficult to see with averted vision. The background appears slightly grainy
at 270x and about 5-10 very faint individual stars can be seen at moments of very steady air. The cluster appears roundish and almost uniform.
