Teutsch 149, Open Star Cluster



The open star cluster "Teutsch 149" is located in the constellation Aquila. In SIMBAD there is only an information for the apparent size of 1.6'. On images of POSS it also looks like the light is weakened and reddened by some dust in front of it.

The star cluster is not an easy object even with 20 inch aperture due to its very low surface brightness. At a magnification of 270x the cluster appears extremely faint, small and roundish. The background appears slightly grainy, but single stars are almost none to be seen.
